Please note the following requirements for individuals going through the MSSC certification process for both the Certified Production Technician (CPT) and the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) certification systems. MSSC wants to ensure that certificants have a fair and equitable testing environment so that one individual does not have an advantage over another in the certification process.
No individual is required to take any MSSC courses in order to take our assessments. (Note: this applies to any course/training providers)
The MSSC Certification Scheme Committee has studied the following list of “Code of Conduct” components for certificants prescribed by ANSI 17024:
To comply with relevant provisions of the certification scheme
To make claims only with respect to the scope (of the standards) for which the certification has been granted
To avoid using certification in a manner that will bring the certification body into disrepute
To discontinue the use of all claims to certification that contains any reference to the certification body upon suspension or withdrawal of certification
To refrain from using certification in a misleading manner
CPT Code of Conduct: The CSC has adopted the following language for a “Code” that offers specific clarity and appropriateness for CPT credentialing:
To understand the MSSC “Key Activities” document that describes the principal production activities to which each modular certificate applies
To explain that the MSSC certificate for any given module documents the individual’s competency to achieve the required performance level on a national certification assessment only with respect to the Key Activities related to that module.
To avoid using the certification in a manner that will bring MSSC into disrepute
To refrain from using certification in a misleading manner
To understand that a violation of any of the above principles could lead to the suspense or withdrawal of this credential, after which the individual should discontinue the use of all claims to MSSC certification
CLT Code of Conduct: The CSC has adopted the following language for a “Code” that offers specific clarity and appropriateness for CLT credentialing:
To understand the MSSC “Key Activities” document that describes the principal logistics activities to which the CLA certificate and CLT certification applies.
To explain that the MSSC certificates document the individual’s competency to achieve the required performance level on a national certification assessment only with respect to the Key Activities related to that certificate.
To avoid using the certification in a manner that will bring MSSC into disrepute
To refrain from using certification in a misleading manner
To understand that a violation of any of the above principles could lead to the suspense or withdrawal of this credential, after which the individual should discontinue the use of all claims to MSSC certification
