CLT INSTRUCTORS

In order to be listed as an MSSC-authorized instructor, one must attend instructor training OR purchase an instructor package, and obtain the certificate for the program to be instructed. Instructors who attend training or purchase the instructor package will be listed as authorized to teach only those courses for which they have passed an assessment (CLA/CLT).

Gerald Lemons

Gerald W. (Jerry) Lemons has over 30 years’ experience in both government and the private sector logistical management and training.  He is a former Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army, and the former General Manager/CEO of HILCO Electric Cooperative, President of HILCO United Services Corporation and President of the Lake Whitney Water Company.  Mr. Lemons retired in March 2007 after serving HILCO for 11 years.  During these 11 years, HILCO underwent a dramatic corporate change from a small rural electric co-op to one of the fastest growing and most fiscally successful diversified utility Cooperatives in the State of Texas.  Under his leadership, HILCO doubled its annual revenues and energy sales and diversified into for-profit products and services involving potable, water, business financing, propane gas and land development.  Recognized at the State and National levels as a fiscally strong, success oriented leader, Mr. Lemons was instrumental in leading HILCO being recognized as the business model for State Cooperatives to emulate.  He is a former City Council member and former Chamber of Commerce President of Glenn Heights, Texas.  

Mr. Lemons has served as a business management, marketing, Certified Logistics Associate/Technician courses  of instruction services for Navarro College, Cedar Valley College, and Collin County College.  He has earned a Bachelors Degree from the University of Nebraska, a  Masters Degree from Webster University and an Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Kentucky, as well as numerous Professional Development certifications from the United States Military and National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.
