GETTING STARTED WITH CLT
Thank you for your interest in the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) program! Your organization can be established as an authorized training and/or assessment center in about one or two months. In order to deliver all components of the CLT program (training, assessment and certification), your organization must complete three steps. These items can all be purchased at one time or in the order listed below.
Step 1: Become an Assessment Center
A. Choose a Site Coordinator
Site coordinator should be an employee who:
- Can sign a binding security agreement on behalf of your organization
- Coordinates proctors and/or serve as proctor
- Places or authorizes orders
- Works with instructors, proctors and/or candidates to register candidates for assessments and coordinate dissemination of credentials
- Is not an instructor
B. Register online

Registration requires you to answer certain questions about your IT and assessment delivery capabilities. Click on the link to test your computer if you would like to gather this information prior to beginning the process
- Activate account (via account activation email received within 24 hours after registration)
C. Schedule Proctor Training
Proctor training is delivered via webinar twice monthly – see Proctor Training page or activation email for schedule. Proctors must attend training before proctoring any MSSC assessments.
NOTE: Instructors CANNOT serve as proctors.
D. Sign security agreement
After completion of proctor training, the Site Coordinator receives a security agreement. Once the agreement is signed, your organization is assigned a Site Code and is ready to offer assessments.
After receiving your site code, please login to your account: http://systems.msscusa.org and enter in your site code in your account profile.
Depending upon when you begin registration, this process can take 2-4 weeks to complete. MSSC recommends beginning at least 4 weeks before you plan to offer the program.
A. Purchase e-learning portal
Your organization will receive a customized, secure e-learning portal. Purchase via ordering account set up in Step 1.
Please allow 2 weeks for portal set up. Note that your instructor must complete their training on your organization's e-learning portal. MSSC recommends purchasing the portal set-up 4-6 weeks before you plan to begin the program.
A. Purchase Instructor Training
Instructor training is delivered online and requires approximately 2-4 weeks to complete depending upon individual instructor schedules. Purchase via ordering account set up in Step 1.

B. Fill out Instructor Registration form
Click here to download registration form. Each instructor must complete a separate form.
Instructor(s) receive a welcome email within 72 hours with instructions on how to access their online training. If Portal set-up and Instructor Training are purchased at the same time, please allow up to 2 weeks for set-up and registration.
Instructor must complete online training program and schedule assessments before delivering their first course.
NOTE: MSSC Courses were developed in strict adherence to the industry-recognized, nationally validated standards upon which the Certified Logistics Technician (CLT) is based. These Courses have a proven track record of success in teaching the knowledge and skills identified in the national standards. MSSC Courses are highly interactive and utilize state-of-the-art, computer-based, simulation e-learning technologies and are delivered by MSSC-Authorized Instructors. MSSC does not review or endorse any other courses or curricula. MSSC does not require that individuals take MSSC Courses or any other MSSC-related courses before taking an MSSC Assessment .
