MSSC Fall 2025 High School Video Contest

Theme: Redefining the Narrative: The New Face of Manufacturing

The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) invites high school students nationwide to showcase their creativity in the Fall 2025 High School Video Contest. This contest encourages students to shine a spotlight on the modern world of manufacturing—its innovation, opportunities, and impact—through short, original videos.

Why Participate?

This contest is about more than making a video—it’s about reimagining manufacturing. Students will become storytellers and ambassadors for an industry full of exciting career pathways. Through this project, classes will:

  • Empower Skills & Confidence – Highlight how students gain purpose and potential by engaging with manufacturing in the classroom.

  • Lead with Student Voices – Share authentic, youth-led perspectives that inspire peers.

  • Explore Careers – Discover and showcase the diverse opportunities that exist in today’s manufacturing sector.

Who Can Enter

  • Open to high school classes, grades 9–12, nationwide.

  • Teams must consist of at least 3 students.

  • Participation in an MSSC-authorized course is welcome, but not required.

  • An instructor must submit entries and sign the MSSC Talent Release Form.

Contest Requirements

  • Videos must be 4–6 minutes long, original, and use respectful language.

  • Creativity is encouraged—students may use interviews, demonstrations, or testimonials.

  • Content should highlight the value of teamwork, innovation, and modern manufacturing skills.

  • No copyrighted music, images, or footage without proper rights.

Judging Criteria

Entries will be evaluated on:

  • Creativity & Originality

  • Adherence to Theme

  • Technical Quality

  • Engagement & Impact

  • Industry Partnerships

  • Inclusion of 4.0 Technology

Judging will be led by MSSC Senior Leadership.

🏆 1st Place: $2,500 Cash + 1-Year CPT 4.0 Course License + Instructor Training Webinar Package
🥈 2nd Place: $1,500 Cash + 1-Year CPT 4.0 Course License + Instructor Training Webinar Package
🥉 3rd Place: $500 Cash + 1-Year CPT 4.0 Course License + Instructor Training Webinar Package
🍕 All Participants: $200 Pizza Party (UberEats gift card)

Contest Timeline

  • August 11, 2025 – Submissions open at 9 a.m. EDT

  • January 4, 2026 – Deadline to submit by 11:59 p.m. EDT

  • January 14, 2026 – Winners announced at 3 p.m. EDT
